About MyMedia
MyMedia is the University of Toronto's media archive which provides secure storage, archiving, and playback for the University's media. MyMedia is developed and operated by the University of Toronto Libraries.
MyMedia in a Nutshell
- Is open to all faculty, staff, and students at the University of Toronto
- Stores your videos and sound files
- Provides an easy web interface to upload your media files by logging in to the MyMedia server
- Allows you to make your files publicly accessible or restrict them to the University of Toronto community only
- Provides an embed code or permanent play link that you can use to share MyMedia files
- Automatically receives files created with Techsmith Relay
- Accepts a wide variety of media file formats. Your original files are saved, and a standard viewing format is created for your users
- Video usage statistics is available upon request
Store and Share Your Media Files, In Three Simple Steps:
- Upload your files: MyMedia accepts virtually all video and audio files
- Describe your files: add a title and description, and decide whether to make your video public or restricted
- Share your files: just copy the embed code or permanent play link provided on your MyMedia file management page
